Introduction
Welcome, reader, to the Tales from the Warzone online blog. I am Neuicon. I run an indie gaming company, called CPOP, however this is a personal project and fan-based website, dedicated to the preservation of the Mutant Chronicles universe.
I have always been a fan of the setting, going all the way back to the original edition of the Warzone miniatures game. I have lived and loved every aspect of the game's universe, as well as the many incarnations of the setting, such as the Doomtrooper collectible card game and the old Genesis video game. I am also a huge fan of the Warzone line of games, except for both the second edition and Ultimate Warzone (the settings, of course, however the games themselves, not so much).
With that said, I want to welcome you to an ongoing journey, that had originally started as a simple progress-tracker, to what it is now: a source and major hub of all things Mutant Chronicles. I thank you for dropping by for a visit and hope you enjoy scavenging through the chronicles.
About the Chronicles
So, what is this website, really? I do not accept donations or ask for them. This whole blog/site is a labor of love and I wouldn't have it any other way. This blog will feature everything from the world of Mutant Chronicles, as well as cover the many incarnations of the setting. Browsing through the site, you may find content related to specific games, such as Warzone, Warzone Resurrection or the Mutant Chronicles Collectible Miniatures Game. These are the three main areas of interest on the blog.
What this blog essentially is, is a source for all things related to the Mutant Chronicles universe. It really is just that. Feel free to browse around, make yourself at home and enjoy the many things this website has to offer. All I ask, is that you enjoy your stay.
Warzone, WZR and the Mutant Chronicles CMG
Throughout the website, you will find content related to these three games. Personally, I play the Mutant Chronicles CMG more than the others, but this does not mean the other games do not deserve any attention. On the contrary, the original Warzone miniatures game is absolutely amazing and the new Warzone Resurrection miniatures game is both fluid, fast and fun while presenting some of the industry's best miniatures, hands down.
You will find battle reports, painting guides, strategy articles and game-related fiction, all surrounding these three games. Blog posts on Tales from the Warzone relate primarily to these three games and I do plan on introducing content related to the Doomtrooper CCG at a later time, to further expand on the content contained on the site. The more, the better.
Chronicles and Megacorps Sections
In these sections, you will find information regarding both the history of the Mutant Chronicles and a detailed background on every faction in the game. The Chronicles section covers the entire history in eight total chapters. In the Megacorps section, you'll find a detailed background to each corporation, as well as a background for the Brotherhood and the Dark Legion.
Cathedral and Citadel Sections
When you enter the Cathedral, you will find an archive, dedicated to the Universe Under Siege online magazine, dedicated to the Mutant Chronicles CMG, created by me, Neuicon and released exclusively here, on Tales from the Warzone. Coming upon the Citadel, you will find miniature galleries, featuring miniatures from all editions painted by members of the Tales from the Warzone blog. In the Citadel, you'll also find articles on the miniature hobby, including tips on everything from terrain, to painting miniatures and making great bases.
AudioVerse
The AudioVerse is a very recent addition to the Tales from the Warzone blog and features audio dramas, performed by me and others. All the dramas are related to all incarnations of the setting and stem from short stories in rulebooks and expansions from all editions of the miniatures game and roleplaying game.
If you have an idea for an audio short, would like to request one or take part in a recording, we're always happy to bring on new folks to the group! Drop us a message in the "Contact" tab at the top of the page in the navigation bar. We thank you for your consideration in any of the mentioned.
Downloads
Here, you will find links and direct downloads for fan-created material, or other works, all related to the many editions of the tabletop games. Special downloads will also be made available in this section, so be sure to keep an eye out for new and additional downloads!
Thank you for taking the time to go through this all and getting to know the blog. I hope you enjoy your stay. If you would like to join the blog, contribute or make requests for any specific content, please contact us in the "Contact" tab at the top of the website. We more than appreciate your wanting to help and/or contribute. We also, very much thank you for taking the time to drop by and roam through the landscape that is the Tales from the Warzone online blog!
